Mood:
A scream in the night
So very loud.
You can hear it
If you don’t make a sound.
A women screams
For her lost love.
He died today
She yells at Him ,above.
A wife screams
Her eyes are black.
Her husband’s gone
In the police car, the seat in the back.
A child screams
Her virginity he took away.
He will be caught
But, not today.
A mother screams
Her only child shot.
A gang fight
And left to rot.
A grandmother screams
As she lies in a hospital bed.
Tubes everywhere
This is how she is fed.
A sister screams
To her mom and dad.
Please stop fighting
I promise I won’t be bad.
A lover screams
To be left out in the cold.
Another lie
Has just been told.
A scream in the night
So very loud.
You can hear it
If you don’t make a sound.

Author's Comments:
"I have read so many really great poems on this site. I come here day after day.And I read. I want to learn how to make a poem- out of nothing- I write about my family or friends and about my pain. I want to write as others often do. to look at something, any old thing, and write. I herd a scream. This is what I got. Tracey
